Rachel Karen Green, a fashion enthusiast and Monica Geller's best friend from high school, moved in with Monica in 1994 after leaving fiance Barry at the alter. She lived there until Chandler and Monica married in 1999, briefly lived with Phoebe from 1999 to 2000, then moved in with Joey in 2000. When Monica and Chandler moved out of Manhattan with their twins in 2003, Rachel moved back into her former apartment...ALONE.

Rachel's first job was as a waitress at Central Perk in 1994, but she later became an assistant at Fortunata Fashions in 1996, a buyer and personal shopper at Bloomingdale's in 1997, and an Executive at Ralph Lauren in 1999, then promoted to Merchandising Manager for Ralph Lauren in 2002.

Rachel and Ross were involved in an on-again-off-again relationship from 1995 to 1999, including a drunken wedding in Vegas which lasted from May 1999 to October 1999, only because Ross didn't file for divorce and lied to Rachel about it. She realized she and Ross just weren't meant to be and after the divorce, she called things off for good.

I play Rachel canon aside from: 1. She turned the job down in Paris 2. She and Ross never had a child, or dated after October 1999 3. I ignore all shippy stuff after Oct 1999.
Rachel/John Verse - Rachel met John McClane in Las Vegas in May 2003 when she was there celebrating her 32nd birthday alone. They went to dinner, got drunk, and at some point got married on May 6th, the day after her birthday. This was Rachel's second drunken wedding in Vegas. She and John decided to remain married and take things slow. He moved into her Manhattan apartment and a few months later they'd fallen for each other. They had their first child on April 25, 2005...more to come.
